The Spidercam 2D is a point to point camera system which uses cables to carry a camera platform (Dolly) between two mounting points.
The unique design allows it to change altitude at any given moment. Each of the two winches hold two high-tensile Kevalr cables. By winding/un-winding these cables, direction, altitude and speed of the dolly are controlled.
Joysticks are used to input the commands, which are then transmitted via glass fiber cables, guaranteeing an interference-free transmission without the need for radio transmission.In defiance of its compact size the dolly is gyro-stabilized in all axis offering unbelievable stability even at speeds of up to 8 meters per second.
The spidercam® Dolly is not restricted to a single camera type, but can be equipped with various cameras. Our rental systems usually use UHD Sony P43 or P50 Cameras.
